The Living Room

The Living Room works with homeless and at-risk youth between the ages of 15 to 21 to meet basic needs, provide support and resources, and to develop valuable life skills. We believe that providing a safe, comfortable space for homeless and at-risk youth, along with consistent support, will assist youth in reaching their greatest degree of self-sufficiency and their fullest potential.

Youth express their ideas at The Living Room
“Be yourself — It’s the greatest thing anyone can do. For if everyone were made of plastic and silicon, or any other faux substance, the world would be a boring place!” — JH
“Friends are the family we choose for ourselves.” — Anonymous
“Courage is discovery that you may not win, and trying when you know you can lose. Life isn’t about living without problems, life is learning to solve them.” — JD
“The principles you live by create the world you live in; if you change the principles you live by, you will change your world.” — Blaine Lee
Referrals are available for Northeast Kingdom Youth Services and Transitional Living Programs, as well as other area agencies.
