You can deduct the fair market value of the gift, avoid all capital gains taxes, and remove that asset from your taxable estate. By choosing an option called “Retained Life Estate” you can give your personal residence to Northeast Kingdom Youth Services while retaining the right to occupy and otherwise enjoy the full use of the property for your lifetime
.
Gifts of Life Insurance
When your life insurance was originally purchased, you obviously had a need for the benefits to pay for debt or to secure your family’s financial future.
